Dr. Alyssa Janssens
Dr. Alyssa Janssens grew up in Kelowna, BC where she developed a passion for health and human movement at a young age. She received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Alberta in Edmonton, AB before moving to Portland, OR where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Doctorate of Chiropractic from the University of Western States. Calgary is now home and she is excited to explore the city (especially it’s food) and the Rocky Mountains.
Her treatment includes a combination of manual chiropractic adjusting, soft tissue therapy, taping, exercise and nutritional advice depending on your individual needs. She is currently certified in ART (Active Release Technique), FAKTR (Functional and Kinetic Treatment and Rehab) and RockTape (Basic & Performance), and has had additional training through the Motion Palpation Institute and in DNS (Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization).
Dr. Janssens believes in empowering people through education and customizes a treatment plan using the best available evidence. She enjoys a wide variety of yoga practices, basketball, running, lifting weights and hiking, and her goal is to get you back doing the things you love!
