Amanda Ballas believes that health is a balance within the body itself and between the body and the external environment. When the body is internally balanced and in harmony with the external environment, energy flows smoothly throughout to nourish all organs and tissues. By adjusting and stimulating the flow of energy, we stimulate the body’s natural healing ability to maintain health and protect against disease.
She is dedicated to bringing health and healing to her patients.
Amanda started her studies in Traditional Chinese Medicine at Grant MacEwan University, where she graduated with honors. She was fortunate to mentor with Dr. David Chu for 4 years post graduate to enhance her skills and practice. Her studies continued with 2 more years of Chinese Herbal studies through the U.S., as well as multiple Sport Medicine Courses with Matt Callison, L.Ac.
Amanda has special interests in Functional Fitness, Chronic and Acute Pain, Sports Injuries, Biomechanical Lumbo-Pelvic positioning, Headaches/Migraines, Women’s Health, Mental Health, and Complex Conditions.
When not in clinic, Amanda can be found living an active lifestyle following her son’s sports teams, Non-Stop-Mom-ing, spending time with her family and on the water with her seasonal Paddleboard business.
