Dr. Michael Hoiles

Dr Michael Hoiles was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. After studying sciences at Mount Royal College (now Mount Royal University) in Calgary, he completed his doctorate in Chiropractic at Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose, California. His treatment focuses on healing injuries, correcting dysfunctional movement patterns, and promoting healthy lifestyle practices.

Dr Hoiles has achieved additional certifications and training in other therapies including Active Release Techniques (ART), Graston Technique with FAKTR (Functional and Kinetic Treatment with Rehab), SFMA (Selective Functional Movement Assessment), and Kinesiology Taping. ART and Graston Technique are treatment modalities that focus on removing tension from various tissues in the body to restore normal function. SFMA is a diagnostic protocol that methodically breaks down movement patterns to identify the cause of symptoms and dysfunction. Dr Hoiles continues to advance his education by staying current on the most up-to-date treatment methods.

Dr Hoiles has enjoyed working as a medical provider for numerous professional and amateur athletes at sporting events including the Ironman World Championships, the Corona Wide Open Beach Volleyball Tournament, the world’s largest cycling festival the Sea Otter Classic, the National Senior Games, the North Face Endurance Challenge, the World Outrigger Canoe Championships, and various marathons and other sporting events.

Dr Hoiles enjoys an active and recreational lifestyle. Golfing, hiking, biking, and various other sports are a few of the ways that he likes to spend his free time. His number one goal is to help people from all ages and abilities overcome their injuries and improve their health and performance.
